WDO Championships – Formation Competition

Friday 27th February – Blackpool Tower

Please read this information very carefully and take note of all timings.

The full timetable for the evening will also be shared in your WhatsApp groups during the week of the competition.

COMPETITION PREP

Tickets

  • All tickets will be available to collect from Monday 23rd February.

  • If you have booked a seat, your seating ticket will be inside your envelope along with your entry wristband.

  • The seating plan will be posted in your team WhatsApp group.

  • Any forgotten or lost wristbands cannot be replaced.

Tracksuits

All competitors must have:

  • Fever tracksuit jacket

  • Tracksuit bottoms

  • Trainers of your choice (to be worn with your tracksuit)

Nails

  • A Team – Black (nails & toes must be done before Friday)

  • Ballroom Team – Red

Tan

  • A team, your own DARK tan. Girls you can leg tan and gold on the day if you have time.

COMPETITION DAY

We will be getting both teams ready at the studio on the day of the competition.

Ballroom Team

  • Ladies – Please arrive at the studio for 12:00pm to have your hair & make up done. All prep will be done before you leave the studio.
  • Latest time to leave the studio 3:30pm
  • Men – Meet at the Tower Ballroom for doors open at 5:15pm.

No cars can be left on our car park as we are also getting the children ready on Friday evening, we need as much car park space as possible.

A Team

  • Girls – Please arrive at the studio for 5:15pm to have your hair & make up done. If you are helping get the children ready, please arrive from 3:30pm onwards. (See hair & make up whatsapp group)
  • If you aren’t helping get the children ready, but would like to start getting ready earlier than 5:15pm please feel free to come early.
  • We will try get most of your makeup done at the studio, but if we do run out of time, you can finish getting ready in the ballroom.
  • Latest to leave the studio  7:45pm
  • Boys – Meet at the Tower Ballroom for 7:45pm. Ballroom team will be dancing at 8:00pm

Arrival
The sea view area, top balcony, behind the tiered seating is the female changing rooms.
Male changing rooms are accessible via the stairs behind the stage, but not 100% where these are located. There will be signs up directing you when you arrive.

Food & Drink
The Blackpool tower ballroom do not allow us to take in our own food, unless well hidden. They operate CARD ONLY within the venue.

Please avoid giving your children lots of sickly foods or fizzy drinks.

PROTECT YOUR OUTFITS – Eating in outfits is not permitted! WATER ONLY is allowed to be drunk in outfits tracksuit jacket on.

Medicine
Please remember to bring any medication as required, especially inhalers if used.
