A little recap of information about the show…
It’s that magical time of year again — time to start planning our whole school Christmas show!
We’re thrilled to announce that we’ll be returning to the wonderful Winter Gardens, Empress Ballroom on Saturday 20th December for our 5th year running!
If you’ve never been involved in one of our shows before, don’t worry! Everything you need to know will be sent out by email over the coming weeks.
We can’t wait to celebrate the season with you all and make this year’s show our best one yet!
What is Festive Fever?
Festive Fever is our whole school Christmas show. All children aged 2+ and our competitive adult dancers are invited to take part. Whether you’re a complete beginner or already part of one of our many teams, everyone is welcome to join in the festive fun!
If this is your first time being involved, don’t worry — all the information you’ll need will be sent out in due course.
This is an afternoons show so perfect for our younger years children, as it starts 12:00noon.
All show dances will be taught during your child’s regular weekly classes, so no extra lessons are needed.
There will be one additional practice on Monday 15th December for dancers aged 5 and above to bring everything together before the big day.
What will my child be performing in the show?
All youngers years, Pre Primary/Primary Ballet & Mini Mix/Movers will showcase what they have been learning in their class weekly with all their friends & teachers.
All other dancers who attend a children’s class such as cheerleading, street dance, acro. primary plus & junior ballet, latin, and formation will showcase either their class routines or competition work. They will also be involved in something called a group dance. They will learn these in their weekly classes and are required to attend an extra practice on Monday 15th December.
Below is the split of group dance 1 & group dance 2. If you are unsure which group dance your child is in, please ask at reception.

- Sparkles/Fireworks – Tuesday 4:15pm Cheer
- Flames – Tuesday 5:15pm Cheer
- Firecrackers – Tuesday 6:00pm Cheer

- Latin & Ballroom Beginners Classes – Saturday 9:45am, 12:00pm & 2:15pm
- Tuesday Street – 5:00pm

- Primary Plus Ballet – Saturday 10:45am

What outfits & hair styles will be needed?
All dancers will need to arrive with their hair in a centre parting, low back bun. This should be done with a bun net, hairspray, and gel. Those who cannot get their hair in bun, please tie up neatly.
Boys hair should be as neat as possible.
Ballet

Rose Fever Ballet uniform with ballet shoes and socks/tights. - 10:45am Primary Plus

Black fever performance t-shirt and plain Black bottoms. Ballet shoes.
Mini Mix/Movers
- 9:30am Mini Mix 2-4 years

Cheerleading Teams – Sparkles, Fireworks Flames, Firecrackers, Fireflies, Flyers.
- Full cheerleading outfit, white socks, white trainers, red bows, and pom poms.
Solo Cheerleading Classes (Saturday 10:15am) & Weekday dancers who aren’t competing in a team in November
- Black Fever performance t-shirt and leggings/black bottoms with black trainers/pumps. We will provide pom poms to borrow.
Street Dance Teams – Jets, Salute
- Full competition outfits from November
Jets – Blue Cargos, long sleeve top, bandana & trainers
Salute – Pink Cargos, white t-shirt & trainers
Solo Street Classes (Saturday 11:15am) & Thursday dancers who aren’t competing in May.
- Black Fever performance t-shirt and leggings/black bottoms with black trainers/pumps.
Acro/Lyrical (Saturday 11:15am)
- Any combination of the following

Plain Black Leggings - Boys – Black performance t-shirt and plain black bottoms
Latin Classes (Saturday 9:15am, 12:00pm & 1:15pm)

– Girls – Christmas T-shirt & Latin practice Skirt with latin shoes
– Boys – Christmas T-shirt and plain black bottoms (formation trousers/black school trousers if possible) with latin shoes.
All Nations
- Competition outfits (only 1 ballroom or latin)
Juvenile and Junior Formation
- Full competition wear, including shoes & white/black socks
- Despicable me – please be aware all dancers need GIRLS latin shoes as they are all dancing in dresses
- Annie – please be aware the leads in this team need lead shoes as they are dancing in trousers
- (Outfits will be brought on the day along with accessories, as per competitions.)
